24 years later....

This is me on my 1st birthday... Tomorrow, I officially turn 25. I'm not too sure why I am so against turning 25. Maybe it's the fact that people call it the "quarter of a century" birthday... Century? Really people... is that necessary? I think not.

I am hoping that this next year in life:
1. I will learn
2. I will grow
3. I will accomplish
4. I will love
5. I will laugh
5. I will care

Until then, I am off to Napa to spend the weekend with the boy and some friends at my boss's house in Yountville. Great weather, great friends and hopefully great memories. What more could a girl as for, right?

Okay, maybe to not be referred to as anything that has to do with a century old? Is that so much to ask? ;)

i ♥ my job...

can you tell why?

these speak for themselves

little froggy legs on a hot day

just under one month old

"i smile now... and boy am i cute!"

I seriously can't believe Baby T is over a month old already. The boys are adjusting well for the most part. Acting out here and there, doing things out of character but at least they aren't taking it out on their little brother, right?

b spears

I was "lucky" enough to score some almost free (managed to only pay $2...long story) tickets to Britney Spears last week! A couple girlfriends and I hopped on BART (always an interesting ride) and headed over to Oracle Arena in Oakland. We managed to miss the opening act, PussyCat Dolls, completely (DARN!!) but got to our seats just in time for the show and to run into some very interesting people (a girl who was clearly on SOMETHING that lost her phone asked me if she should run away because she was scared... i asked where her friends were, told her to go talk to them... she proceeded to tell me "you're so nice, you're so responsible". um ok? she then headed two rows up to her friends and gracefully tripped over her seats and went down head first. awesome).

Anyyyway... the show was... umm, well... it was Britney. I didn't expect much. The lip-singing was a given but I gotta say, what happened to the dancing skills Brit Brit?

All in all, it was a fun night. Minus the crazies and the fact that I fainted, hit my head and managed to score a black eye at the end of the night. I could have done without the black eye, thanks.

bunny cake. its a must.

Easter festivities started out on Saturday (the day before) for me this year. I was lucky enough to spend the day with my two favorite boys (actually three, the boyfriend participated too!) and the opportunity to dye eggs with them for the first time. Unfortunately, my dumby butt didn't take any pictures... what was I thinking!? Pictures or no pictures, it was fun to see them doing something for the first time and enjoying it! Love kids! :)

Sunday morning was a lazy one for most in my family. I got myself ready fairly early in the day (doesn't happen often) and cruised over to the neighbors (Rose was home!) to watch the kids (her nieces and nephews) do Easter egg hunts. The kids (including myself) in my family are sadly, no longer "kids", so we have to wait til we start producing offspring to enjoy the days of egg hunting again. I didn't get to see Rose for long but I was happy to spend the time I did before she jetted back to life in LA.

After hangin at Rose's, my mom, sister, the bf and I had a yummy "breakfast" (more like lunch at this point) at my house... Later that day we cruised on over to my aunt and uncle's (two houses away) for some yummy din din.

Spent some quality time with the g-parents... and please don't remind me how much I am starting to look more and more like my mother! yikes!

took some quintessential cousin pictures. amy and i have a picture similar to this from almost every time we get together.

you definitely had to be there to understand the pic. oh the childhood memories.

he's a trooper for puttin up with my crazy family ♥

cousins that are more like sisters. love 'em.

bunny cake. its a must.

that was that! hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

im looking into getting my old camera fixed. i just have this funny feeling that it will cost more to get it fixed than it will to buy a new one (go figure). i just need a little push in the motivation department (thats nothing new) and ill get it done. hopefully. right? :)

keep praying

not sure if anyone has read the post below but poor little stellan had to have a blood transfusion today... the doctors are trying their very best to solve his heart problems but so far, his little ticker has been very, very stubborn...

if you haven't had the chance to check out MckMama's blog, please do!

this little mckmuffin needs as many prayers are we can give

(all of her kids are code named after McDonalds menu items! read her story and you'll see why)

praying for stellan

if you have a minute to click on the button to the right "praying for stellan", please do! i found this woman's blog back in August of '08 when this sweet baby boy, stellan, was still in the womb. ever since then, i have fallen in love with mckmama, all of her MSC's (many small children) and the journey that this little boy has been on. she is an amazing woman, an amazing writer, an amazing photographer and an amazing mother. her sweet 5 month old boy needs our prayers like never before. so like i said, if you have a minute, click on the button, read about their story and pray like crazy that he is healed.

thank you.

meeting trajan

On Tuesday, the boys and I (anyone who knows me knows exactly who I am referring to when I say "the boys") got to visit mommy and new brother Trajan in the hospital. After working for this family for over three years, they feel more like family than my employers and I was so grateful to be able to visit the new little one before he came home on Thursday. He is probably the cutest little peanut I have ever seen but then again, I might be a little biased! ;)

not even 48 hrs old yet... yummy, yummy ♥

big brother aidan (the "oldest"... 6 minutes older than alaric)

big brother alaric, who i was lucky to get this picture of...
he's still getting used to the idea of baby brother.

aidan, trajan, and alaric. my, now, three favorite boys!

i swooped him up about 45 seconds after we walked in the room :)

taking it all in. love me some baby boys
(in the least creepy way possible, of course!)

mom and baby T are home now, readjusting to life at home. unfortunately, both aidan and alaric were sick or getting sick (alaric had a ear infection as of thursday and aidan was headed in that direction), not the best conditions for bringing home a new baby but I'm sure they'll make it work! I couldn't wait until my next work day to see him again so I am using my mom as an excuse to go visit today! I'm so sneeky... not.

That's it for now!

ps. don't be surprised if you see A LOT more of these three on this little bloggy blog of mine :)

pps. the space bar onmy keyboard isnt working and its bugging the crap out ofme!

my babies

new arrival!

ok so i'll get to the whole "updating about my life" thing at some point but... i am SO happy to announce that my boss (i'm a nanny) had her third little boy today! he was scheduled (c-section) to be born march 31st but apparently this little man had his own agenda!

unfortunately i do not have any picture YET but i am so excited that he has arrived and is healthy and beautiful!

trajan alexander sharrock
7lbs 3oz, 18.5 in

out of the few pictures i have seen so far, he looks like quite the handsome little man (not the typical funny, alien like, "ive been stuck inside my mommy's tummy for 9 months" sort of look! hehe)

i'll post pictures as soon as i have them.

who am i kidding? no one reads this thing anyway... oh well, im excited anyway! :)

alaric didn't want to be left out! :)
